On March 1998, Santi Barrier, as delegated the parents representative, the CF Tordera Guideline, presented the project before the Assembly chaired by Ramon Vilajeliu. This proposal was accepted and leant, of unanimous way, for the first moment. Few days later, Josep Barceló, player of the first team of the CF Tordera, those kids' trainer, brother and member of one of the families more linked to the club, lost life in a tragic motorbike accident. That tragedy shocked in all the levels to the Tordera but at the time he stimulated them to work for a project that already had name and sense: Barceló Josep. He went then when a club, and a village in perfect harmony began to fight to give one honorable memory Josep.

Some solid bases.

One of the best Memorial qualities Josep Barceló was that with some bases thought guaranteeing his continuity stops and stand his growth, independently of the people of turn that corresponded to them completing his organization was born.
